What is arthritis caused by Arthritis symptoms are the swelling of one or more joints in the body. The other types are septic arthritis, gout, pseudogout, juvenile idiopathic arthritis, still’s disease and ankylosing spondylitis. Some types of arthritis may be caused secondary to some diseases like lupus erhythematosus, psoriatic arthritis, reactive arthritis, hemochromatosis, Henoch-Schonlein purpura, lime disease and many others.Like hypertrophic, osteoarthropathy, osteoporosis, and (parvovirus infection) and multiple myeloma.

What is Arthritis pain like The main symptoms of arthritis are stiffness of the joints. Redness and decrease in range of motion are some of the symptoms of arthritis. If other parts of body are involved in arthritis then the arthritis symptoms are fatigue, fever, weight loss, rash, night sweat, dry eyes, dry mouth and breathing problems. The osteoarthritis is caused due to wear and tear damage of the joints and the bones getting rubbed together. This results in movement restriction and pain. In rheumatoid arthritis there is an immune response against the joints. This causes pain, inflammation and redness. In this ultimately the cartilage and bone inside the joint gets destroyed.

Family History of Arthritis
Joint injury and obesity are the risk factors for arthritis. Inability to do the daily activities due to painful movements are the complication of arthritis. The tests done for the diagnosis of arthritis are blood test, urine test, joint fluid test and imaging studies like X ray and MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging). Arthroscopy may also be done by a small tube having a camera and the Tip is inserted inside the joint and the pictures of joint can be seen on the video screen.

The treatment is given to relieve the symptoms The medications are given for the Treatments of arthritis like analgesics, counterirritants, non steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, disease modifying anti anti-rheumatic drugs, biologics and corticosteroids. Along with medications physical therapy can improve the range of motion and also can strengthen the surrounding muscles. In some patients braces and splints are required. Surgery is also a treatment option but generally recommended on severe cases.
